Great article. Too often, we don't think about the foods we eat and where they came from, the products we use for cleaning our homes, the carpets in the convention centers! I continually deal with red irritated eyes while on the show floor and linked it carpet fibers floating in the air. I am not surprised to hear from you that the VOC's are linked to asthma and cancer but I am disturbed by it. I think moving people towards a healthier approach rather then primarily monetary approach in their choices for their shows is the goal. It can be challenging but , as Andy says, with the right incentives, it could happen.

An interesting look at an important topic. I've spent thousands of hours on trade show floors and never thought about what's in the carpet. And I think with the right rewards, companies could make a stronger effort to go green and keep us all healthier in the process.
